The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). A2LA complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices. As a result of this accreditation, A2LA is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.
The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) has awarded A2LA the industry-respected Accredited Provider status. IACET Accredited Providers are the only organizations approved to offer IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The recognition period is for five years, at which time A2LA will be re-evaluated. This accreditation includes all training programs offered or created during this time. “A2LA is proud of our world-class training programs which have been designed to help organizations achieve and maintain accreditation to international standards. Our training courses are delivered by subject matter experts with many years of professional training experience so that our stakeholders stay on the cutting edge,” stated Julie Collins, A2LA Training Manager. Ms. Collins added, “Our accreditation by IACET is a demonstration of our commitment to lifelong learning and high training standards for all of our programs. We are very pleased to become an accredited member as well as to join an elite group of organizations that offer excellent continuing education and training programs.”
In order to achieve Accredited Provider status, A2LA completed a rigorous application process, including a review by an IACET site visitor, and successfully demonstrated adherence to the ten categories of the ANSI/IACET 1-2013 Standard addressing the design, development, administration, and evaluation of its training programs. A2LA has pledged its continued compliance with the Standard, and is now authorized to use the IACET name and Accredited Provider logo on promotional and course materials. In addition, A2LA is listed on IACET’s website as an Accredited Provider.
