Excel Applications for QA and Laboratory Personnel (EMU 160W)

 

Course Description: (16 Hours)

This “hands-on” workshop is designed to introduce Microsoft Excel spreadsheet’s capability to the Laboratory and QA personnel with practical applications. Practical instruction with hands-on approach is provided where attendees work with data to comprehend Quality, Testing and Calibration Laboratory applications. Attendees will develop useful tools and techniques during the class that they will be able to implement immediately in their work environment.

Course Learning Outcomes:

After attending this workshop, attendees will be able to:

  • Organize and manage laboratory data in Excel spreadsheets
  • Analyze data using the statistical tools provided in Excel
  • Create and Validate Excel templates.
  • Create reports in Excel

Course Conditions:

  1. Laptop (PC or Mac)
  2. Excel (PC or Mac) – minimum level
  3. Google Sheets
  4. “The Excel on tablets does not have the full functionality (no Analysis ToolPak), “Microsoft Teams” as well
